In 2017 Aislinn, along with several other Journalism students, were invited to partner with the South Australian Council of Social Service to travel to regional areas as part of an Open State project. Aislinn interviewed regional citizens about their experiences of digital inclusion or marginalisation, and these videos formed part of Dr. Genevieve Bell's lecture.
In 2016, Aislinn won Spoken Word SA's 'Summer Slam' poetry competition, putting her love of words and knack for public speaking to good use with a piece about her migrant heritage.
Aislinn graduated from Seaton High School in 2014 with an ATAR score of 91.05. She was awarded the Outstanding Student Award at graduation, and was invited to Orientation Day in 2015 to speak with commencing Year Twelve students.
